If you desire less friction, flip Jaws around and run the rope over the smooth side.Quick and secure lock offs are assured as your rope is drawn deeper into the V grooves - creating more friction. Rig in the same orientation for steep rappels or rappels with a pack or rotate 180º so the free end of rope runs over the flat side for equally smooth rappels on low angle slab routes.
